I've been using a 16ft for years. if you don't mind rear overhang, its really not a bad way to go and you aren't as likely to be a member of the excessive tongue weight club. I made three paint marks on my trailer. Two for the ramp location for 99% of the cars I load, and one for the rear axle centerline of my race car. Loaded just right, its a beauty to pull.

Just bought a 20’ enclosed, not for trailering my car but to move furniture. I recently bought a 2nd home in Gilford, New Hampshire. I plan on making two runs (one from Reno where I live, and the other from Pasadena, CA where I have a 10x20 full of inherited furniture). I payed about $13k for the brand new trailer and the dealer said when I’m done moving the furniture I could likely sell the trailer for the same I paid for it or more! I may keep it, who knows.

Are the Pieces of White Material used to keep the "sun temp lower in the building" so that trailer stays nice and cool???

Reno to Gilford is quite the haul! You gonna be near Lake Winnipesaukee?

I don’t know Tom, this photo was taken at the trailer dealership. Sounds like a logical guess to me.

Bought this in 1991. 18' including 4' dove. Removable fenders. 5' ramps. VERY easy to load.
Center rail in tongue.
No xtra charge for sideways pic.

Bought a 16' and it's perfect for Mid-Size.
I like that it has the stake post brackets so I made rails so I could utilize the trailer for household and construction materials as well.

But I would not load a B-Body,
A 20'+ is recommended.

I have a 62 Catalina and haul it occasionally on a 20’ Sure Trac trailer. It pretty well fills up my trailer except for a little room at the front to assist on tie down.
Would not want anything shorter , my 2 cents…

I also agree, get the longest built in ramps you can to prevent steep loading angles. Mine are probably 5’ and not long enough sometimes!

I’d say go with the 18’. I don’t think a Bonneville would fit on my 16’ without it being sketchy.

I picked this one up a few months back. It's an 18' tilt deck but it also has a 20" stationary portion so almost a 20' of usable space.
