Default Painting jail

I’m getting a little concerned, my car was supposed to be ready this Friday but when I check on it Monday. It was a long way from being painted. I will be going back there on Friday to see if I can put some pressure on them.. I was counting on have a week to put trim back on it before SCC show on the 12th. I don’t want rush re-trimming it with raw paint.

What does your contract say? completion date is friday, unless they are Gas Monkey or the misfits i guess it isnt gonna be done. Always put a start date and finish date and make it draws if ya can. Blame lawyers for not being able to enforce basic laws with a Ar%% beating if needed..

I am in paint jail too.....and I built the jail. I am painting my own car and I told myself it would be painted 2 weeks ago. I think I am finally ready to paint this weekend....unless another unexpected issue is discovered. Super hard to put down the sandpaper but I finally got there. Car is seal primed and jambed out. Should be ready to scuff and shoot.....hopefully.

I think deadlines for paint jobs only work on reality TV shows.

Good news bad news. I’ll have the car back by Thursday next week. When i saw it today, all body work was done and block and sanding finish. They are finishing the small amount of masking today and will paint Monday morning. Yea... the bad news, all the trim won’t be ready until Friday, late Friday per the shop manger!. Where’s that “under construction “ category when I need it.. lol

Yea, out of painting jail! Doesn’t look too bad for a scratch and shoot job. I’ll need to get it color sanded when the paint cures completely.. see everyone Saturday
