Default Wiring connector question.

Did all 67 GTOs come with a 9 pin connector for the steering column connection. This is a picture of the dash side. It's a little hard to see but the 9th pin is there, far right.

From wiring schematic, yes.

Looking in the/your 1967 Service manual will show the 9 pin connector.

Funny you bring this up, as I'm getting ready to head over to my friend's house to what damage was caused to the signal switch on her '67,
after her grandson accidentally grabbed the level pulling it out/off the switch

Good luck, Jeff... As I recall, the level is screwed into the end of the nylon signal cam, and the youngster probably trashed that attachment point. I'll be interested to hear if you can manage a fix. I ended up having to replace the cam and harness.

Thumbs up GOT LUCKY

Somehow he managed to pop/pull the screw straight up/out when he pushed on the lever.
I was able to re-set screw with good tension, so it may have been coming loose, to begin with.
The horn relay was shorted in the process, all other systems/lights unaffected.

Good news. I'm glad that the damage was minimal.

After all these years I just popped the screw in my '67 column on the way to the three day show in Yuma earlier this year. Had to stop and pull the horn relay wiring so it wouldn't honk at the bikers we passed. Found out that I will never be one of those people that don't use their turn signal because I just kept grabbing at air for the turn signal all weekend. I first tried to reuse the same screw with a little blue Loctite and it held for about two outings, and that's when I dug through the screw drawer and found the slightly larger replacement. Went one size up and it has held together fine.
