I also noticed recently that one of the vendors picked up Herbs line of anti-sway bars (maybe bought from Moroso?) and are selling them in their catalog. The front is the correct 1-5/16” and has the spherical rod end links. I think I even saw Fire Am decals!

Ken, yeah we used to call them strut rods or hanger rods as I don’t remember the proper GM shop manual nomenclature. But I meant the 2 steel tubes that hang from the bracket which is bolted to the rear subframe and have bushings at each end.

The 1” Summit bar I got does indeed look like it has the same “hammered gray” finish as the Hellwig bars I’ve bought for my trucks over the years. The 1” Summit (Hellwig?) bar is shaped exactly like the 7/8” GM bar I’m replacing.

thanks for the info, Phil. will watch for that vendor, would love to see more of the old VSE parts offered today. searched Summit & the only stock contour T/A rear bars that will work for my needs appear to be made by Addco.

Thanks Ken, I inadvertently thought we were talking about an F body and it’s an A body. My bad.
