Default 72 Lemans GT stripe color

I'm restoring an original Lucerne Blue 72' Lemans GT and I'm going to be ordering the side tripe for it. When I purchased the car, it still had the original paint and decal on it, but both were faded badly. My question is what color stripe it was. It appeared the be a reflective light silver color, but it's possible that it was reflective white. Both colors are available through Stencils and Stripes.

Whitish/SILVER is correct, I used to reproduce these in late 80's & early 90's.

Only thing that could up in the air is if car has been repainted & if originally the front stripe had the GT cutout or not. Some original '72 LeMans GT's were originally made with the reflective D98 fender stripes w no cutout.

Just to verify, I should get the "silver" one? Mine did have the GT cutout

SILVER would be correct. I referred to the color as whitish/SILVER, as the 3M reflective material is a lighter shade of silver. Decades ago, wasn't that hard to source the correct shade, Originally, I had a bigger issue sourcing the correct shade of reflective BLUE for the white & Nordic silver cars.

Ralph @ Stencils & Stripes should be able to take care of your need.
