that Firebird nose does not look right at 4x4 elevation.
Good candidate for a Blazer body with a bad drivetrain grafted onto the Firebird underside. |

I've seen a few hot rods on 4x4 games that work. That one not so much.

A number of years back, somebody put a yellow Formula onto a Blazer or Jeep chassis. It was interesting, but just didn't look right.

At least it was a 3rd gen. I've seen enough 2nd gens ruined over the years with this white trash nonsense.

Waste of a Pontiac. More appropriate for a Camaro. But..... with all the rain they had out West and more water to come from the snow melt, it should keep it dryer inside.
Like everyone else so far.. I doesn't like it either.

I see a problem with the VIN. I'm guessing it might be a DMV issued number that somebody hand picked with the "82" prominately featured. But the tenth digit is an "F" which ordinarily dictates a 1985 model, when neither the chassis or the body are from that year. |

Good lord. That looks like something that a few hillbillies threw together over a weekend and a few 30 packs, not a 20 year project. I saw plenty of those abominations in northern Wisconsin over the years, with the most notable being a verdoro green 69 GTO on a 4x4 chassis that was running around here in the 80's. Vinyl top and hideaways. I would guess that the car is sitting in the woods at the farm rotting away as I type.

If I ever get out of Birds, a 4WD vintage El Camino done well is probably my next, and I would use it off road...
The boys at my hot rod shop just did Cadzilla, a 66 (I think it was) gold Caddy on HUGE 4WD set up.

Someone around here did this to a 70 Barracuda about 25 years ago.

Years ago, there was a 67 Firebird ragtop, complete with 400 hood, that had suffered a similar fate in a nearby town. It was on a Scout chassis.

I have seen some nicely done El Camino's done in my town over the years. Both were early 70's models and retained their original frame. All suspension items were mounted to the original mounting positions and looked darned near like a factory build. Those were ok to look at.
