Default 68 GTO Wood dash insert

Hi all,
Would anyone happen to recognize this wood dash insert?
It high gloss and the clear coat appears to be a few mm thick.
I don't think that it is polished resin as its a little tackier to the touch than that.
It seems it would be inflexible, but I havent tried to remove it out of fear of cracking it.
Picked this goat up a few months ago, and the dash is quite nice.
It does not appear to be cheaply made, although it could be similar to 3M DI-NOC film with a thick clear coat placed on top.

Thanks for any input!

I don't recall seeing anything like that commercially.
It's nice, but the grain pattern should be horizontal, not vertical.
Possibly home made.
