Tach you can do yourself. Rear speaker switch should have the connectors on it, & you plug that into your factory speaker & radio, which should also have connectors on it for that already.

Ames, last I checked, sold the M&H harnesses. If you order dash harness from them and tell them it is for a floor shift car & that you have a tach, then you will be able to plug everything in. You do need an entirely different dash harness for the floor shift conversion unless you are inclined to do significant modifications to your existing one.

I bought an engine harness from M&H and it was a very nice piece. They do really nice work.

I haven't gotten around to replacing my dash harness yet, but I did convert my car to a floor shift automatic and made my own harness for the console. It is very easy to do. All you need is to re-route the wiring for the park/neutral switch and the reverse switch from the steering column to the console. Along with doing that, run a switched 12V wire to the console as well if you're intending on hooking up the light for a vacuum gauge or the light for the shift indicator. That's it.

How hard would it be to splice in console wiring? Catalog doesn't show gauge wire choice for 1965. Does show one for 1966 in case i fine gauge speedo?

They do sell the gauge harness for '65. Should be same as '66.

I have converted one from column auto no gauges to floor shift auto w. gauges, but unless you are really into it, I would buy the M&H.

Default 65 Full Size Tach Harness

This is probably a stupid question, but how do I determine which tach harness to get....? There are two tach harnesses for 65 - one said for transistorized ignition and the other does not indicate. How do I know if I have transistorized ignition or not?? What does that mean?
The car is regular distributor w/ points and coil - no voltage regulator.

thanks in advance

If you have a standard tach. The transistorized tach was paired up with the transistorized distributor and voltage regulator. Not very common in a 65 B Body.
