Ryan, was that with complete interior? bone stock condition?

im trying to guesstimate my car, and so far i think im near 3300lbs without me and all the stuff ive been stripping off of it.

i get 3300 because im assuming a stock bird weighs 3500 untouched, and ive taken close to 200# off

Yep, that was me in it, with the original hood, 1/2 tank of gas and a toolbox in the trunk. 67 is the lightest year. a stock 67 bird should weigh around 3300 i think. This was with full interior also

165#, damn!
I lift those by myself like it's nothing.
I dropped mine on my hand one time, I thought I broke my arm.

Yeah, Osvaldo I did add weight though. I have an 8pt cage as well.
When I weighed the car it was about 4 years ago.
I figure with the backhalf I'll shed a few.

All I'm gonna say is you better hook with my Caltracs on your car buddy!
WHen you race it give me a call if you need help tuning them.
We can tune it over the phone. Remember, pinion angle is key. 2-4 neg. is perfect. Even though you have all my old hardware still check it before you drive it or race it.

For sure man Im shooting for Aug. The month of my B-day. i want to get it weighed and dynoed before i take it to the track.

PS.
did i mention i dont have a roll bar. wow whats that 50lbs?haha

I doubt it will go anywhere near the speed where a rollbar is required but if it did, that would mean i get kicked out, thats AWESOME haha. going to school now. Thanks.

I'd say put atleast a bar in it to be safe.
Even if it runs 13's, you're still safer and it will tie the car together and stiffen it up.
A friend of mine went 9.70's letting off the gas with no bar or cage.
He got kicked out real quick.
Just a little street car
Good luck on your finals today.

added a few more individual parts from the front end. Anyone wanting to figure out where to try to save weight and how much you have to work with, look at the list.

Donovan,

back seat is approx 40lbs.

havent weighed the driver and pass seat, but they must be 20-30 lbs each.

No kidding? I've not tried to weigh mine. I've got a non-fold. Is yours fold or non-fold?
