Default Stripping a 66/67 Dash Bezel

Looking for what to use to take off the factory and other old paint from the plastic bezel. Thanks Jeff

Well i'm not sure if soda blasting would work, maybe someone else can chime in, their is always the tried and true sandpaper and elbow grease. Irgoatmike

Soak it in dot 3 brake fluid for a few hours or even overnight. I did it to a plastic model and it didn't hurt the plastic at all. Clean the brake fluid off with trisodium phosphate (hardware stores), but wear gloves and follow the safety recommendations. I don't know if brake fluid will take off the vacuumized metal coating or not, I would guess that it would. I wouldn't use it on potmetal though.

Thanks guys, someone told me to use Easy Off Over Cleaner, I'm not too sure on that one. Any other suggestions would be helpful

I glass beading mine using lowered air pressure. No problems, but I made sure to keep the tip moving constantly.

Came out great and ready to paint.
