I did not know Steve, but followed is posts and have to say that he was very brave in the way he has lived life after being diagnosed with this terrible disease. Prayers sent for Steve and his family!

4+ years on a 6 months to live diagnosis - Steve's cheated death longer than most unfortunately it's out of his hands now.

If there's a cruise night in heaven you'll be easy to find - you'll have the car without a hood!

What an incredible journey this has been since his initial diagnosis
and what an incredible spirit he showed in his long fight.....I will forever admire his spunk
for as long as I live. May peace be with him and his family.

Thanks for sharing the update, MC.

I can only hope that the Hoog family can find peace in knowing that when (if he hasn't passed already) he lays down his earthly burdens, he will free from all pain and will be with the Lord again.

When the time does come, I hope the PY Memorial gets another member.

It's so hard to find words at a time like this. So glad he is not in pain at this time. Seems like he knew his time was very near in the fact of his numerous posts on here lately. And that he was wanting to bring so many of the things that he held dear to a close. I never met him except here on the forum, but I felt like he was a dear friend. You will be dearly missed Mr. Steve!

I only knew Steve thru email and these forums, but watched with amazement as he fought one hell of a fight. I think I really missed out not getting to meet him.
Prayers of comfort and peace to him and his family.

This sums it up the best, a man given 6 months and makes it over 4 years. This guy has some fight!!! I've been watching his dumb ass garage vids in the Judge thread, funny stuff at a sad time.

Being in God's hand's is a good thing!
I'm a Christian believer, AND believe in miracles. I'm praying for healing, all healing comes from God, doesn't matter what your condition is, the creator of the universe, you and I can do as he pleases...we have to ask first though!!!
Doctor's are blessings from God, and to never be ignored.
Lord, Heal Steve by the power of the shed blood of you son Jesus! We all speak the word of healing into Steve's body, you said our infirmities and sickness ARE healed by your power, Lord we thank You!!! Amen!!!

Very sad to hear this. I was thinking of Steve the other day, hoping he was doing ok. Remembering that he said he thought that 2014 would be his last year on earth. Figuring that he already had 2015 half-licked, and was making it. That was over the weekend. Never met the man, but he is a man of great dignity, inner strength, and inspiration for us all. Wishing the best for him and his family.
