Default Dash wiring

I have a 1969 Catalina wagon and the dash wiring has always been a little temperamental to say the least . So I plan to strip out the dash and cluster and check everything, what I need to know is does the dash/instrument cluster have any earth straps and where are they? Also does the headlight switch have any king of earth strap too?

Here are some pics of my 69 Bonneville. It is a terrible design with screws into plastic providing grounds. The extra problem is that the fullsize cars had a cluster that was under supported (late production 69's have added bracing) so they flex and bounce, loosening the ground connections.

I added a ground strap to better ground the cluster to the lower switches and another to ground the cluster to the body. This fixed all my gremlins and all works perfect now (car has gauge package).
