Default Starter issues..where to earth

I have a '79 camaro with a sbc. Its been sitting in my leaky, damp barn for 9 years. It last ran 3 maybe 4 years ago. It has a good amount of surface rust on the frame.

I put a battery in it and the interior lights and power windows work but when i try to start the car it won't tick over..just does nothing.
I suspect it needs some better / clean earths. So where should i need to run earths to ensure i have a good earth/ground?

Dont worry the GTO is stored elsewhere, where its dry and warm..

I assume you know the battery is good? If the wiring is stock it should be adequate - take off both battery cables and make sure both ends of each one are clean of corrosion, dirt, grease, etc. and put them back on. I'm not familiar with Camaros and small blocks, but I assume the battery negative cable goes directly to the engine block.

There should also be smaller earth (ground) connections from the engine block to the car; on my 1961 Bonneville there are four of them, one on the rear of each cylinder head to the firewall, and one on the front of each cylinder head to the frame. You can't have too many.

Well it turns out the starter solenoid is the bust, battery post is broken off, so i'll either need to fix it or get a new one..
