Default 1969 Firebird blower

I have had to run a separate wire from the blower to the fuse box to get the blower to work and someone was saying to check the line that runs along the right side of the engine intake manifold that there might be an issue with a plug in the line. I looked but did not see anything. Any thoughts on this as now the blower is on all the time when the car is running.

Check the blower motor resister. They've probably all broken.
