1975 Pontiac G.A. Windshield Washer Pump

The car is equipped with pulse wipers and they work. I installed a new dash board switch and the washer sprayers to clean the windshield do not work. The bottle is full and the hoses are primed. The system seems complex with three plug ins and a separate green ground wire under the black plastic cover. Pressing the washer button activates the wipers but not the washers. Any help in getting it to work would be appreciated. Thanks
