GIVING LEE SCHWILM CREDIT HE DESERVES
Lee Schwilm, a former PY Member, with his Vortech Z Trim Supercharger at the Virginia Motorsports Park track MANY years ago. This was one of the first Vortech Boosted Pontiacs of the modern times with a large Supercharger installed.
1200+ HP capability. Tom V. If you click on the picture a couple of times it will get larger.

Never knew the Article was out there in Hot Rod magazine Jay.
Lee had a lot of good people helping him: Travis Quillen, Moldex Crankshaft, Bob and Frank at All Pontiac, the Butlers, Teddy H, The Vortech People, the FAST EFI people, etc. I talked to Lee for the first time in a lot of years, about a month ago. Main reason for this Thread. He has moved on to Fast Street Mustangs with a Supercharger. He may still have the Pontiac race car though. Did not ask him. Do not think that he ever really got it sorted out to its potential with all of his work he was doing in his law office. Tom V.

Tom do you recall what his original HP goal was? Curious what his original goals were, looked like more than 1200 hp by the injector lbs. I noticed he was running 160 lbs injectors.

The injectors were from Bosch/Ford and were for a "Secret Spy" (Hydrogen Engine) project (see link below) for the government but we used 8 of them them on Lee's Engine and 16 of them on Marty Palbykin's Alcohol 406 Pontiac engine.
Marty's engine was good for 1600 hp so Lee running gas could have made 1600 hp with 8 of the same injectors on gas once he got it sorted out. Plus Lee had a much better head. RA-V not a #62 D-port head like Marty. Tom V. https://www.greencarcongress.com/200...-tests-ha.html I was very proud of that engine and the work that it did for the government. That plane had some amazing high altitude capabilities but I will not get into what they were. It ran a staged multi-Turbo system

Running errands for people but wanted to post up a few more pictures of Lee Schwilm's Ram Air V Vortech Supercharged Firebird.
I have several so here are 5 that I have time to post quickly. Lee's Supercharger could make about 1500 HP. It was the largest one from Vortech Engineering at the time. Jimmy Keen (for example) went 7.50s in 1999 at 3000+ weight with a XX Supercharger and Lee's Supercharger was the next size larger. Lee just needed some development time. The Engine Issues he had were all related to the Cast Iron RA-V heads he had bought not holding water. Tom V.
