Default 69 YZ Ram Air III Engine

Nearly complete, intake to the pan, less carburetor, distributor and exhaust manifolds. I bought this engine a year ago for a 69 Ram Air III car I've owned for 12 years. This engine was in Long Island, N.Y. Been looking for the original engine for my car , off and on for the past 11 years and gave up , momentarily and purchased this one. After much thought this past year I feel that its only honorable to offer this up, only to the original car, hoping it will get back to the rightful owner.
Stamped YZ Date code on the block is D189 and the vin. no. is : 29P302579
I do not have the PHS on the vin. but was told it came from a 69 Judge, but can not verify that.

Check the judge registry to see if its listed, otherwise, the probability is that the car is long gone. Good chance the engine was pulled before car was scrapped. I wouldn't orient your choices around the probability that the engine and car will be reunited.

Home plant VIN 302579 makes it an 04B or C build date. Very tight engine build to car build, not surprising for the home plant.

Not in my listing for what it's worth.

694922 sounds about right for a spring 69 build. Total 69 production in 69 model year was 870,000 less about 50,000 sixes iirc so 820,000 v8's cast up to about july 69.

Hi John, I went thru everything I have in the Judge/Ram Air registry and have nothing. I wrote down in my notes the info in case the car every shows up. Would you happen to know the date codes on the heads and intake? I am curious the date spread on everything as I like to keep track of that info.

Thanks,
Tim

I am guessing the car is long gone. What percentage of these cars still exist?

Good question. Ya never know. We all know people.with cars that havnt been on the road , or registered with dmv, for maybe.10 or 20 years, maybe more. Theres always a chance.

Know a man who has a 69 YZ in a 64 Catalina and also we. know.where the car that it belongs too. He has no desire to sell.this engine. Dont know.that it's worth the effort being the 69 is in rough shape.

Wish I could find my YZ motor (R188671) even if it was in another car. It would be so cool to reunite the two.
Hope you find the owner either way.
Cheers for trying,
Brew

Would PHS tell you if anyone has requested a package for that VIN?
