Default WIW A/C core support

Hey there! I have a really solid A/C Core support. The bottom rail needs a bit of straightening and it's missing 2 threaded inserts. I'm sure someone could use this thing as they're not repopped. I've searched and the only one I see is on Ebay and $1,400! Granted it looks REALLY nice, but wow! I have no clue what a fair price for this thing would be?? Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Johnny

My guess is around 500. I searched for the one you mentioned on Ebay, but only found this used non-ac piece. If you've ever heard anything about the seller, you'll understand why it's priced so high.

FWIW, I have an ac support that is mint, and don't know that I would take 1K for it.

I'd say that $500 would still attract buyers. I was going to pay $450 for one from a seller that sells lots of parts at swap meets and on eBay. He prices his stuff high and firm. After driving to look at it I passed on it because of corrosion and rust where the battery is located. Yours is in better shape.

Cold Case will be coming out with the lower radiator support conversion that will convert the non-AC support to a functional AC core support. I would guess that the conversion hitting the market will reduce the value of original supports.

I sort of won the core support lottery last year. I was recovering at home from hip replacement surgery and I get a call from my friends that are down scrounging at a local pick-a-part. A clean 66 Lemans with AC just hit the yard and my friends volunteer to pull the core support for me. Funny thing was two guys are pulling interior parts and the rear bumper and no one is around the front of the car. My friends pull the support and bring it home and I reimburse them for what they paid for it -- $56.16. It's now been powder coated and will be installed soon in my GTO. Oh, and the yard didn't charge for the hood latch still on the support.
