Pretty cool that someone is finally making them. Price isn't really too bad. I wonder what the 'limited production run' consists of number wise? Will be interesting to see what this does to the price of original ones (not to mention all the fiberglass ones out there).

I have a friend in Western Canada who ordered three. I hope the quality is as good as they say. I'll let you know what he thinks of them.

I saw the hood at a car show/swap meet on Sunday in Peotone,Ill from Parts Place. Hood looks to be excellent, one of the nicest repro hoods I have seen.

I look at it this way. Unless you have a super high end original numbers matching car.
your wasting your money on a original hood. Just think the $4500.00+ shipping you just spent on the hood from "minnesota" you could have bought almost 4 reproduction hoods.
the original hood you just picked up tells me theres not that much of a demand for original hoods anymore. It was a far cry from the $12000-15000 people were paying 6 months before. Dont get me wrong you got a killer deal on the original hood.

it is what it is.it is a reproduction part.it is inferior in quality and the original hoods are still worth the money.maybe not to the people that have a clone but they would buy the fiberglass hoods anyways.i am not worried about selling my original.it will be a spare hood for a 69 ta here that is worthy of the original.

Actually, The one at Scott's shop is on a clone car and it has a glass hood. It has the steel understructure with the fiberglass skin. Probably one of the hoods made in Canada.
I have to agree on the fit and guage of good original parts. The Taiwanese stuff is never quite right and thin!

Anxious to hear about how it fits Tom. Maybe they finally made a decent repro? How much are these hoods without the shipping?

Tom, how'd it go? How do the tubes, pans and scoops compare to the originals?

Got some pictures?

my kids and I bolted it on last night.Seems good, cars going to the body shop mon so will learn more when he gets working on it.Fit is good,on the sides but might be a little tight when painted. The upper pan looks great but the vac diaphrams did not come with screws and the plate to hold the aircleaner was not included. The tubes were on B/O so cant comment on them yet.Forgot to order the scoops so went to classic for them as they are closer to me.Tom

Hey Tom. Remember that the diaphrams get riveted on to the top plate and not screwed on.
