'02 Camaro SS wheels on '70 Le Mans/GTO - anyone done this?
I have a set of cherry '02 Camaro SS wheels sitting in my garage, waiting for a purpose in life. I want to see how they look on my 70 Le Mans Sport ragtop. I'm in the midst of a restification, having updated the suspension and brakes (Global West negative camber upper arms, tall spindle disc conversion), so I'm open to non-standard wheel diameters if they look good and work well on the car.
If I recall correctly, they are 17" x 9", not sure of the backspacing. Bolt pattern looks close, but I know that the '09 Camaro used a metric bolt size and possibly the pattern is metric as well. I know that spacers/adapters are available for other combinations, just wondering if anyone has done this particular combination. Are there specific adapters/spacers for using these wheels on GM A-body cars? Who makes the highest quality spacer/adapters? Which ones are junk and should be avoided?

I've got a set of 16x8 Fourth-Gen wheels waiting to go on my '69. I bought some used billet adapters, 1-3/4" thick on the front and 1" on the back to space them out. The bolt pattern is the same. You use 7/16" nuts to hold the adapter onto the hub and 12mm nuts on the wheels to the adapter.

I'd love to see some pictures if/when you finally get them mounted. It'll be a while before I get around to mounting mine.
