Default Question about 1970 front spoiler and front wheel flares?

I thought I'd ask the board which supplier/manufacture is building the best fitting 1970 front wheel flares and center spoiler section.. I'm looking at possibly purchasing 3 sets of front spoiler kits... I've heard there a lot "poor fitting" reproductions out there and I'd like to avoid purchasing a poor fitting set..

Please chime in with your thoughts and comments which parts and supplier you'd suggest (appreciating I just did a big order with our host to do my part in supporting) if you wouldn't mind....

Also of note,, I need one set asap as I have the car in for paint now

I use the flares from the parts place. I don’t like buying stuff from them but for 299 on eBay you can’t beat it. The welting you can buy from James. Center spoiler is a repo from D&R. You may have to trim the front spoiler. With a little bit of work you can get a very good fit .

Another opinion here,...buy GM NOS or NORS flares and spoilers. Yes, the most expensive way to go, but will fit best "out of the box". May still require a bit of smoothing to get a nice finish, but it's worth the time.
Guess it depends whether this is a car you're going to sell soon after finishing it or one that you plan on keeping forever.

Albert,

Second Gen Graveyard on Facebook his user name is John D. Lorean sells Danko brand. I see a lot of good things about the Danko spoilers. He is also very reasonable on price. He may also have good used originals.

Thanks,
Stan

I also sent you and email with a question about Cherokee Soldier.

The white molded center spoilers first reproduced around '97 or '98 by Steve @ D&R were very high quality. Reproduced from a nos GM spoiler, the only issue I had with the ones I bought was one needed a little extra glue for the edge welting. Gary (muscle collector) & Ron J also bought quite a few of that initial run, maybe they will chime in. on front corner spoilers, i have been using NOS & restoring very nice used.

Originally they were sold in molded color. Later ones that I bought were black. I bought one once that was black painted over blue Parent material.

Can double ck the nos center spoiler I have put aside for my '72 T/A, believe its a gray color. It was sourced in the late 90's from Ron.

Ok thank you! I have two NOS ones in the box and they are both white. I was curious if what I actually got was the D&R repros in an NOS box.
