I'm going to pick up a set of front lower control arms this Sat for my '65 Cat. The original ones had a plate welded over the ball joint, and my stupid brother misplaced them. Don't ask how, I don't know myself.

Should I get control arms from a 66 or newer since they don't have that plate? I'm thinking I should. My concern is that I already have a set of GM replacement ball joints (bolt in type), and I don't know if they'll fit '66 to '70 lower control arms.

I need some simple answers fast, please.

Thanks,

Matt
