Thanks for the blast from my past. Still have a Taste album tucked away. Hasn't been listened to in 20 years, but still remember..

I like to think of this one when I put my olds away every season. Reminds me of times gone by.

Buck Owens: "Whos going to mow your grass". Watch "House of a thousand corpses" and it will give the song a whole new meaning!

Today's drive home was sponsored by a best of Poison collection. Most of the tunes on the drive were off "Looked What the Cat Dragged In".

Say what you will about Poison and their pop/commercial rock, but their music was some good time stuff. It fits nicely as road music. Their first two albums were epic.

As a guitar player, I always loved CC DeVille's use of the major pentatonic in an era when it was all about minors and generally darker progressions and scales.

I have over 6000 songs on my iPhone. Country, rock, rap you name it. I got everything from ac/dc to the wu tang clan. Usually have it on shuffle. Never know what’s gonna play and if I’m not in the mood I skip.

Just listened to System Of A Down's "Toxicity" album this morning.

It's only gotten better with age!

Default What tunes

Junior Brown. Thinking it's a greatest hits CD. Best cut is Highway Patrol, then Semi Crazy. All are great to me.

My senior year I murdered my Scorpions "Blackout" cassette by playing it unending to and from my girlfriend's house in my 78 Formula. Today I heard a few songs off that album while out driving.

Blackout, You Give Me All I Need, Dynamite, When the Smoke is Going Down. Wow. Love all those, and the smiles those songs were associated with.

I know that I should mention "Arizona" based on where I live, but that was one of the weaker songs IMO.

Junior is definitely one of my guilty pleasures. I've seen him live maybe half a dozen times in the last 20 years, and I have all of his albums on replay from time to time. If you have a chance to see Junior live, don't miss it. No matter what song it is, he's great while cruising, and great while wrenching.

There is nobody who puts "cool" into country music like Junior.

I think "Freedom Machine" is the most appropriate song for all of us...

Well, after about 3 months I felt it was time to change out the CD in the truck (I know, ADD is my friend, right? ), so now I'm spinning Bud Shank plays Tenor.
...btw, cudos on the mentions of Jason Isbell and Junior Brown.
Love both of those artists.
Stockholm is a legendry song.

Old Bud Shank. Wonder if any of you guys know that Bruce Brown ( Endless Summer film maker ) was friends with Shank and Bud Shank did the music soundtrack for one of Browns very early Surf films " Slippery When Wet"

I've heard something along those lines in the past.
Wonderful player. Seen him in concert with Phil Woods a few times.
