Default 76 TA rad support bushings

Hi there
Purchased Energy Suspension # 3.4144 subframe mount bushing set for my 76 TA. Says 76 to 81. When it came to front rad support the bushings look different and instructions are wrong saying the core support sits on top of the frame rail. I am not sure on the old bushings as the front was disassembled along time ago. Has anyone installed this kit on a 76

The core support sits under the frame rail, here is a bad picture of a 76 mod.

Yep that's what I thought, looks like their kit is wrong, bugger, have installed the rear 4 already as well. Have tried them via messenger and email but no response yet. Grrrrrrr

The original GM number for the parts is upper GM 478779 and lower GM 490693, I think it is the same as for 73-75.

Ok now I am a bit dubious about the whole kit.

The front rad support ones are definitely wrong.

The frame to body height of the rear bushings was 20.25mm and the firewall bushings we're 30.35mm.

Does anyone know if this changes between models as well ¿

I energy suspension whole kit back in 2006 for my Formula and had a similar issue with core support bushings, called them was told their was two different sets in 74 depending where it was built .

They sent me the correct set. Seems like they still have the same issues sending the right parts .

A chart through 1976. The #1 position is for the core support:

Awesome guys thanks a lot. Unfortunately ES still refuse to accept this, I have sent them photos, vin's etc.
Apparently my car is a pile of mismatched bits as the VIN didn't list at DMV. I told them that maybe if they checked on the other side of the world it might lol. I have a 76 and a 77 but apparently don't know the difference lol.
Please see my new post at the top of this section asking for photos, hopefully if we can get a bunch of 76 owners to send pics, we can save others alotbof greif in the future 😁

What has the DMV got to do with you simply installing a car with the correct parts. It wasn't too many years ago they were happily selling all 2nd gens with non-Firebird mounts, until a new replacement kit eventually replaced them. Beware of old stock with a different part number.

Ha, the muppet was trying to tell me I didn't know what type of car I had so he asked for the VIN number so he could check on line. I gave it to him and he said my car could be any group of mismatched bits because it doesn't exist according to him. I politely suggested that it may not be on the American DMV register he checked because it's been on the other side of the world for over 30 years.
Even when I did a complete breakdown of the VIN for him he said it could be anything and that's why the kit didn't fit.
This is why in need the photos of 76 lower core support mounts and partial VIN . I have a couple from over here in NZ, but need a few from the US or elsewhere 😁
