I forgot to add that it's best to primer the trunk first as the splatter paint will stick better.
A Clear-coat will pus it OVER the top..

I have a 72 GP and I purchased mine from the parts place. I sprayed it with a cheap gun from Harbor Freight (less than 20 bucks.) It is an oil based product that does not need the clear coat. I previously used the water based product and clear coat on another car with decent results. I also recommend priming the trunk first. It's all a matter of personal preference and having access to a compressor that will push the paint. I have an older Craftsman 33 gallon compressor that worked and I am happier with this result. Good luck with your project. I hope it comes out looking great!
