Can someone describe the attachment setup of the power steering pump to the block on a 68 400 (going into a 64 GTO)? I bought a bracket supposedly for a 68 bird...looks aluminum but can't see how it will work. Are these years interchangable? Thanks in advance.

Really easy and fairly optimal bracket design...those aluminum brackets...

Best for you to dry-fit all the bolt lengths:
Bolt the bracket to a Driver headface with a 3/8bolt. bring the PS pump up to the bracket & observe the rear PS pump stud feeding into the aluminum swing slot. the rest should be clear...if you have a 66-70 PS pump.

Pivot the alternator on a long bolt, above the PS Pump bolt.

Thanks for the info...is there another bracket required in addition to the aluminum one? I've seen one that is flatter and more elongated than the aluminum one (OPG shows this in their catalog)?
