The Green Hornet is STILL waiting patiently for it's NEW JW's T/A's,etc.

Hopefully later this summer I will get a chance to put them on & go for a drive.

A matching set of four May KRs sold on ebay for around $350 a few weeks ago. A May 28 JW sold for $75 not long ago as well. The prices HAVE come down. Thing about ebay is, if you have two guys, or more, who really want something, the price can get crazy. And, we've all seen where identical items sold at totally different prices.

I wonder what dates JW and KR rims were made on -- It just doesn't seem like they were made every day. Febs seem to be rare for JWs.

So what would be a good date code for a 70 March built car?

Last year (or maybe the year before) we had a thread here with most of the JW date codes listed.

I think TA455HO was compiling the info?

(looks like he beat me by a minute)

Sure. Like I say, it's nothing official. Just word of mouth through this forum. If we all had pictures to post of the date codes we could be much more certain. Like these.

3/9/1970

Notice how the 1/26 JW has the MI over the 0 stamped sideways which is probably less common than how the 3/9 is stamped. These went to 2Many.

I'll post some more pictures of date codes later that I have. Some KN and some KR

And how about this pair of JW's for $1000.00?

And somebody bought them!

Looks like the market is still healthy.

Guys, I'm questioning the 9/4/70 JW date from our list. Seems highly unlikely that a JW would have been made after the two KN dates of 7/27 & 7/28. Any pics of a 9/4/70 JW?

$5 says who ever posted it read it wrong - should be 4/9.

In this thread, post #30. 2Many? Could you be mistaken? Pictures?

Not sure who Boss is betting against but maybe it's only a virtual $5 anyway...

That's what started this thread.

Apparently the buyer, nor seller, realized prices had come down. But, it only takes one... The seller was lucky.

There's a KR that's been coming up on ebay for months. The guy wants $499 for it. No takers.

Also: Anyone in need of a 7/15 JW? I need a 1/27 JW.

Well I'll be damned! Wouldn't expect him to get it wrong - it it's true, PM me your address & I'll send it out - or could give it to Paul's donation drive in your name.

Let me know.

Just for reference, mine are 1/26.

I just picked up that 12/30/70 KR for 331.42 shipped with a Best Offer. He'd listed it for $400, but I thought he'd probably take less and he did. It'll be my spare in the trunk. Car had a KS space saver spare in the trunk when I got it, but that's not right.
