Is the 12/9 from Keith K a 1969 year? I can't imagine a JW being 12/9/70?!?

That is an unusual wheel with no year code. Just M1 over nothing. Must have been one of the first JW's made. I agree it'd have to be a 12/9/69.

My own 7/27/70 KN has the 0 but is missing the M1. Or, at least, it is so faint as to be very hard to see. Then look at the 7/21/71 that I added today from an old thread. It almost looks like one round stamp that held these three characters. Cool stuff.

Based on recent sales, looks like prices are going down. Anyone have one or two spare 1/26 or 1/27 JWs in their inventory. I need them for a project. I've got three KRs and a JW I don't need. I'd be willing to do a three for two trade with someone who is simply hanging onto them without a car for them to go to.

Regarding the missing year code below the M1 mentioned earlier, I wonder if it's missing on the insideof the rim as well, since the same code is stamped there?

Are either of your KR's dated 72 ? If so I am in need of 2 .I dont care about the date code's I need 2 for my GTO.Let me know if you do and would like to sell them outright.

I have 3 JWs dated 01/26/70 and one JW dated 01/27/70 that I will part with only after I get these last three KRs.

FunctionalShaker, not sure what sales you've tracked. There were some banged up & deeply pitted KR's that have sold on eBay over last year. Know of over a dozen private JW sales in the last year... not cheap at all.

Some recent Ebay sales were cheaper than I expected. A 1/26 went for $338, another JW, which I'm told was a 6/3 went BIN for $120. There were some well bought KRs as well, although one went for over four hundred -- must have been an in demand date.

When and where was your car built? My 72 HO lemans built Jan of 72 in Fremont has KR's dated 12/29/70.
