Default What tunes are you jamming on a drive today?

Left work a little early last night due to coming in early. Rolling down the highway at 2am, window down, cool desert air.

Sammy Hagar, Standing Hampton, ended up on the stereo in the truck.

"Baby's on Fire", "There's Only One Way to Rock", "Can't Get Loose", "Heavy Metal", "Piece of my Heart"... So awesome!

I particularly love "Can't Get Loose".

What one album have you guys jammed to lately while on the road?

Discuss!

When the local radio stations keep playing the same songs endlessly, Bob Seegar "Live Bullet" slips in.

Cream live at the Grand Ballroom Detroit 1968. Still sounds fresh.

I usually don't listen to one entire album. I have a bunch of burned CD's in the cars, so I have a variety of music playing at all times.

Heres a few songs I have constantly playing in the T/A:

Lamb of God - Reclamation, Another Nail For Your Coffin, Omerta, King Me
Korn - Freak on a leash, Trash, Thoughtless, Coming Undone
Limp Bizkit - Gold Cobra, Shotgun, Rollin', Boiler
Pantera - I'm Broken, 5 Minutes alone, Goddamn Electric
Godsmack - Speak, The Enemy, Mama, One Rainy Day
Creed - Torn, My Own Prison, My Sacrifice

I will listen to an entire album of the artists listed above sometimes, but I usually leave those in the house.

Luv Standing Hampton. Man, when I'm in a classic rock mood, anything from Sammy is great.

I'm with ya' here, '72. Gotta have some some Metal! And of course anything from Pantera is always front and center...

But SquidWard, like you, I'm an album guy. Any album from Van Halen is a favorite for sure, but mainly, it's Tool or Stone Sour for me. I will take any of their albums and play them front to back. A lot like "Tommy" from The Who, any Tool or SS album is basically a Rock Opera as well. You must listen to the whole thing to get the full picture!

Actually, I am not so much an album guy, with some exceptions. I especially like "best of" collections, tho.

Stone Sour is a great band. Kinda like Slipknot light, but without the insanity and with more soul.

I have a 32gb flash drive to store music in my truck, with a nice double din touch screen interface. Skipping and searching are easy, so I can bounce all over the spectrum.

Scorpions were this morning's drive home. Ultimate Gold collection.

Squid: don't get me started! It's all your fault! Not much of an album guy either, but you figured that one out.

The difference between your selections and mine are the reason there should be NO music at car shows.

The Rule is ...you have to play music from the era that matches the ride.

For me, on the open road, it has to be Rare Earth - Get Ready, I Just Want To Celebrate and (I Know) I'm Losing You.

Default cruisin music

I have my car setup with the radio delete plate.
But my daughters enjoy music on the ride. We have been using the Pandora app
on my smart phone, and enjoy the Guardians of the Galaxy Station.
I myself like the Metallica, AC/DC, Anthrax, GNR and other hard rock stations.

I don't listen to radio stations when I'm out in my GTO. I have a ton of "oldies" on a 32GB USB drive that I plug into my after market Kenwood radio.
For 19.99 a year I subscribe to You Tube Downloader and get my music from there. Works great 100% of the time.
I listen to what I want not what the radio stations want me to listen to.

No need to buy or carry CDs either.
