Yes I posted the add for the 10/28/70 JW that's on e-bay. It's the same late dated JW that I posted a picture of earlier in this thread. I bought four wheels and three were 11/10/70 KRs that I needed for my 71 TA and the fourth was this late JW.

Now that I have correctly dated JWs for my 70 TA and KRs for my 71 TA, I've placed my spare set of 01/26/70 JWs up for sale.

Rob,

Never seen one before with this date. Do you think its a legite stamp?

Wow...$2600. That's $520 a wheel + whatever shipping turns out to be. Now that's somebody who flatout needed a set of 04/10/70 JW's. I don't know if that price helps or hurts everybody. They have been around $300 a piece if you bought 5 at a time.

Guess that's right though, there were only so many to go around to start with. 44 years later, there's a lot less left!

$300 JW's, that are nice & straight, not rust pocked in the beads or with lugnut holes stretched.... where?

$3-400? not in years.

I've sold three sets in the last 7 years, all over 2k for the 4. The 4/10 dated ones are sought after by the RA IV owners due to those cars being built later.

I'm referring to singles. Sets tend to go higher.

Maybe its just me, but I've found myself in a position, many times, where I had to step up for the last wheel to complete a date matched set of good date JW's.

Been putting together & selling date matched sets for over 22 years, On JW's alone, have united 13 sets I pieced together to end use owners. Have shipped 4 sets & a few singles to "June & July" guys. A Formula owner needing a set of 5/25's paid me the same as owners of three RAIV T/A's (that were straight with me). In the late 80's through mid 90's, when I was hitting it hard, could usually ind & buy a dozen singles or mixed date small center "T/A" wheels a year. Deals like $10-20 a piece JW's, & even $8-15 XT's, & $5 LZ's were out there in old yard wheel racks & wheel stacks. Those days are gone.

Bringing this thread back to life. I found 4 JW rims dated 10-28-70 very late in my opinion also has MI with a 0 under the MI. Fonts look to be legit. Has Anyone else seen this date besides functionalshaker and RAJ7395

It seems unlikely that there would be JW date codes after the change to KN stamped wheels which were only 7/27 & 7/28.
