400 Plus,
When you put the second gen rear did you have to buy rims with a different off set. I just bought a second gen rear and believe it is 1" wider if I am not wrong. The rear is 60" from backing plate to backing plate. Robert

quick67bird: Yes its an inch wider. And I went with the 4 1/2 back spacing. Run on the street 275/60/15 with a 10 in rim. No sweat for room Yes air shocks. On the strip 28/9/15 8in rim.

Just figured I'd add my video of my 67 bird. I hope there are no problems viewing it. Just some backyard test and tune on a new combo.

Thanks. Yeah it is a fiberglass front bumper. Hoping the weather holds out so I can get to the track this weekend and lay down a few runs.

Here's mine. Street / Strip.
Just need to get the hood painted this winter. Also going to make it functional over the off-season. ~joe |

Thanks!,
it'll look much better once it's painted and matches the car.. It's the Super 400 hood from Paul Spott's site. The link is below. It sits about 2" taller than the original so, my Victor intake with a 3" air cleaner fits quite nicely under it. I'll be making it functional over the winter. ~joe http://www.spottsperformance.com/body.htm |

That's the reason that I got this hood when I knew I needed clearance.
I still wanted to keep the Pontiac look. |
