I found a little problem with my '66 Tempest when I was trying to replace the body mounts. There were little tiny holes in the edge of the trunk mounts that let water into that area. Someone put undercoating over them, the water laid in there and the mount is now rotted out and the trunk floor right above where the nut is rotted too. The floor is solid beside the portion right above the mount to the edge of the wheel well. I bought the replacement panel that has the mount atached to about the upper quarter of the floor. How much of this panel should I use? I know this area of the floor needs to be strong, so should I use the whole panel or just a small area around the mount? Thanks, Kevin.

Typically you sould only use enough of the panel to replace the rotted area. That way you are maintaining as much of the original metal as possible. IMHO...
