I wont risk it either. It seems like the guy is very unreputable from my research here.

Default Re: West Coast Cylinder Heads/ 96's heads

Regarding JS's post from above. I have a set of 96 castings, D-port, 95 cc heads, that were ported at West Coast Cylinder Heads that I am, unfortunately, needing to sell.

They are disassembled, have stainless valves. Probably about 2000 miles and 25 passes on them. Need springs and rocker studs.

Let me know if you want pictures.

Thanks.

Karch

Hey Karch I'm glad you are trying to sell parts on this forum but you are in the wrong section. If you want to rip on Bruce by all means have at it, but if you want to sell parts go the the for sale section. cheers.

Thank you. I know, but I am reluctantly needing to sell them, thus the passive inquiry.
I was hoping to use them again, but doesn't look like I am buying a car in the near future.

How come nobody’s hired an attorney to go after this guy? I don't have a CA bar license (plus I live in NJ), but just from the posts I've read, I see a number of potential causes of action here:

  • Theft by deception
  • Conversion
  • Unjust enrichment
  • Consumer fraud (treble damages...makes me salivate with anticipation)
Doesn't matter that he is building 'race' engines. That may have an impact on the warranty of his services, but not in the obligations under a contract. Do we have any other attorneys on the forum (from the left coast?).

Don't Dis Da Grump. One of my all time look up too's.

That man has done more to make hp for Chevy then anyone.

He was Da Man in the late 60's and 70's. Had him do a cam for my 69 Nova 427 SS/BA back in the day.

Should be................

Bill Jenkins = GOD :)

:)

As far as That other person being in the same class. NOT.

I sure wish he would get that Nash sold so that he can build a new S/S Pontiac. I am sure He will end up with a record of wins like Biondo! It's amazing that after his record class win at Indy that he took one in the a## on the way home.

Anyone see the recent issue of Smoke Signals with the blue 69 GTO convertible on the cover? The owner sent her "original" engine to Bruce at RRE (the GURU of Pontiac engines - her words). He gave her the bad news that there was a hairline crack in one of the mains. I guess he went over several options and let her know she was in luck because he could build her an engine from one of his "recipes". In the article, she seems happy with her new 455 engine, but based upon what I've read here and elsewhere, I wonder what she really ended up with?

That was my thought too... As it was the correct original block, I think I would've looked for a second opinion... I think her initial plan was a stock rebuild... isn't it possible to do some kind of block repair or welding to fix something like that? I know there's a guy here in Mass who does all kinds of repair welding on blocks, heads etc. Seems to me a hairline crack could be fixed somehow? Especially for a stock buildup? I'm sure she probably thought it through... but I would've definitely pursued fixing an original first before going the path she did. I wish I still had my original block (that had a crack). But then, that's just me.
