Has anyone tried to put a 74/75 header panel on a 76? It looks like it will work if you grind the small drop-down filler section at the rear of the outside headlight buckets off and do not use the front filler panel.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

No, I haven't. I'm agreeing though. Looks like it ought to work.

A belated response . . .

Yes it will work! I do want to mention if you have a 74-75 that has the extensions (in tact) that fill behind the rubber bumper, you may want to hang onto it. The reason I say this is because it is very difficult to find a header panel with these extensions in tact and they go for more money if a guy knows what he's got. I've seen quit a few with one or more extensions broken off and you can get these cheaper. As you said, just grind that area flush and it will fit your 76 perfectly. If you come acrossed a damaged one for cheap, post your 74-75 panel on eBay. It will bring good $!
