Car has been sitting due to lack of funds . I have been working on my 78 fire-am and hope to get back to the 76 when it is done.

Im just speaking of the body shell itself. If you cut it for the quarters, you kill the tail panel, roof, rockers, parts of the floor pans, etc. Drilling spot welds to save each piece would be more work than its worth- unless you need the pieces for another project. I understand how frustrating it is that no one will step up and buy it. Parting out is probably a good idea. I had to part a nice 74 TA for same reason. I sold all the bolt on stuff and gave the shell to a friend, forced it on him actually LOL. Yours is a very nice shell so it has to be worth more than a pair of used quarters and a few hundred pounds of scrap.. Add in the history of that particular car and it makes even less sense to chop it.

How much of it is left?
How fast does it need to go?
What are you realistically looking to get for it? (So you dont't get a bunch of $50 offers)

I only have $200 to spend on a car so I know you wont take me seriously
and I dont have a way to get it home to PA from NY.
But I'll do all I can to help someone save it.

Would anyone with the space consider storing the car for him untill a buyer could be found? if you could drag it to PA I'd find a way to keep it for you, I'd dont have a trailer
or truck to get it though.

Would anyone else consider donating a small fee to help put this car into a self storage place to keep it alive untill a buyer could be found? Maybee With a written agreement to get the storage funds back after the sale of the car.

I'd write to HPP magazine or Pontiac enthusiast again, this board & ebay hits only a small part of the country.

Did any one contact any of the major pontiac engine builders or restorers about buying it to show case some of their work? Hell I'd ask Jim Wangers or Nunzi if they
wanted it they have a lot of pontiac guy contacts they might know someone.

Also check on the SCCA web sites there might be a guy who wants a vintage
race car and dont even know he wants a pontiac yet!

Your never going to piece out every inch of metal out of it, it had a cage welded in it.
Times are tough for every one right now I dont think that car will bring the same money
it would have before the ecconomy went bad, but please dont take it out on the car.

Let's bump this post into all the other listings on here so the most people can see it!

Cool Deal!, I'm glad it found a good home, it would have sucked if it got
cut up, How many original race parts were parted out off of the car?
or was it just the engine stuff that is M.I.A.?

No big deal if it was just the engine stuff, you could always put in
a new modern built Pontiac V8 in it.

Good luck, and thanks for stepping up and trying to save that cool car!
Jason
