Bill my computer has been messed up basically all I've had was my phone and every time I tried to log on I would have to reset my password not sure why . So this past week I was browsing through a local area sales page on Facebook and found a real good deal on a used desk top and laptop .A younger guy had gotten himself in trouble with a couple excessive speed tickets and was selling some things to help pay the fines . In reality seems like a pretty good guy just had a run of some bad luck . So I bought both items and he helped me set them up so I can log in again . I reset my password again now it seems to be working . So with things running smoother I'll probably log on more often . when I stumble across the metal convertible top motor cover I'll send you a picture . It's not where it's suppose to be who knows where I may have laid it down .
on the 65 I had someone come up to the house a couple weeks ago and give me an estimate on blocking it back down sealing it and reshooting the color, hanging the doors trunk etc. If I can sell the T Type regal It won't be a problem . I would really like to do it myself my head says yes but my body says no way . He said he would complete the whole car for my 69 Firebird . I've give that some serious thought . We'll see how it plays out . I've got the 67 242 convertible I would like to find a new home for as well I'm never going to get to it and neither one of my sons are interested in any of the cars , go figure .

Hate to respond to such an old post, but I had a good smile at this photo. When i finally got my wagon running, I drove it around the neighborhood like this just a little bit.

Keep at it! The wagon above took 8 years, the coupe before that took 4 years the first time and 13 years the second time. The GTO took 23 years....

So I've had a lot of down time personally health reasons. Had several of my close friends pass. My sister passed a year ago now there's just been a lot going on. So I made the decision to push forward and get this 65 done. I found a shop that would actually pick up from where I stopped and not strip off all the body work I had spent hours on. They came up looked at the car a gave me a figure to get it in color and to a point where I could manage mostly on my own. I've recently had a couple guys offer to help me finish putting it together.
I made a decision to change color from Fontaine Blue to Dark Iris. I'm usually a purest but I love this color.

That Dark Iris looks a lot like the Blue Charcoal on my '65 GTO....a tad darker, perhaps. Nice. Not a fan of Fontaine Blue personally. These cars look better in darker colors, IMO.....

I Agree!!! I don't know why but i just don't care for the lighter colors on these cars. Mine is originally Fontaine Blue with a blue interior. Going to Blue Charcoal with Parchment.

Here's mine. Blue Charcoal, re-painted in 1985 in single stage enamel.

Some recent pictures. I've been really enjoying the car. It's getting a lot of attention especially the color. If you read the complete post I didn't and wasn't going for a complete or over the top restoration but to simply give the old girl a freshen up/face lift. Using mostly original pieces she came out looking like a survivor with the exception of the paint of course. I would guess 80% or more of the people who look at the car ask if it's a survivor but question the color. I'm probably biased but I think she's stunning, glad I made the color change.
I'm not on the forum much so I'm posting a contact email desaljr@yahoo.com .
