1. I have a set of 14" x 6" Rally II's with the code JJ (J's are back to back and one is upside down). What are they from?

2. What is the proper code for a 14" Rally II on a 67 GTO? I've got another set that I haven't checked the codes on, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

3. Does anyone know of a site on the internet that lists these codes?

Thanks,
Phil

Thanks Alex- I appreciate it. I looked at another rim from the same set and the code is actually JC - not JJ. The second letter just wasn't stamped all the way on the first rim that I checked.

Phil,
That's interesting and good news for me as I want to make the change from drum to disk on my '68 and already have a set of red lines on the stock JC wheels.
I was led to believe that the stock wheel for the drum(JC) would not fit with the disk brakes.
I still wonder why they made two different wheels for the drum(JC) and disk(JA) set up?

Good question. I think I'll try the other rims that I own for fit this weekend too just in case there are differences. "jrdoran" is coming over today to try out his Rally I's and while we're at it why not. I'll post the results. By the way Alex, you're not too far from CT. I'm about 1 hour form NYC not far from I-95 and if you would like to drive up today as well to try your rims - please do.

Phil

Well - Here's what I found. Every 14" Rally II that I tried worked! I tried several "JC" a "JA" and an odd one with all sorts of serial codes. To the left of the valve stem there was "M5" and a "sideways 8". To the right of the stem was "18" and an "s". Anyway they all worked. jrdoran stopped by with his Rally I's and they even worked! The kit as I mentioned was from Stainless Steel Brake Co. It's basically a single piston 67-69 Camaro caliper. I figure since it was for early Camaro's it was designed to work on 14" wheels.

Phil,
Thanks for the useful information. That means I won't have to change my tire, rim combnation after the change from drum to disk.
Once again thanks for the invite. I e-mailed my regrets(Just to far).
