Sorry, but that's plain wrong. The SBC had a much larger bore and a shorter stroke. The Pontiac has a much smaller bore and a longer stroke. Completely different animals.

Let's do the math. Bore X bore X .7854 X stroke X cylinders
Pontiac 326, 3.71875 bore X 3.75 stroke = 325.841291015625
Chevy 327, 4.000 × 3.25 in = 326.7264

No issue? Not only does the driveshaft need to be shortened, but the crossmember needs to go back six inches. If he had a 67, the frame should have the provision, but he has a 66. E-brake cables are also different lengths.

If the carbs (any carb/carbs) are set up right, the bottom end literally won't know the difference. Can't say that I think a dual quad setup on a 326 makes much sense though. IMO, you're better off spending the money elsewhere.

I was looking at a cost analysis... 2 carbs plus manifold, plus new distributor (since he has an HEI in the picture), new wires, new dual carb linkage, most likely new fuel pump all on an unknown lower end.. At that point it is worth rebuilding the engine. Do it once..

Cost more than a used performer and cheap four barrel.

Oh yeah on the TH400 crossmember, forgot about that. BUT that is a free mod if only holes need to be drilled.. Not sure about E-Brake cable. Plus I think one doesnt fit. Long or medium tail maybe..

The TH400 also takes a different larger yoke, along with shortening the driveshaft.

A TH350 would bolt right in place of the ST-300 2-speed, no driveshaft or crossmember mods needed whatsoever.

Nope. The one you have is the best you can get. IF you went with that dual 4 bbl or Tri Power intake and carbs, you HAVE to use a points style distributor as it is much smaller and will have clearance. If you go with a single 4bbl, you can use the dizzy you have.
