'70 core support conversion - Lemans to GTO
I have a GTO with a rusty bottom portion of the core support. I just got a nice western Lemans Sport with a good core support. Of course the cars are 100 miles apart so difficult to compare.
I need a good GTO core support so can the Lemans be used by swapping top portion? Easy or hard? Thank you. Layne |

The 70 Lemans core support is a one year only part. You could sell it, buy a GTO repop & use the bottom off it. Plus you'll help a Lemans~T-37 owner get closer to finishing their car too. Years ago I had a local steel fab shop bend up replacement bottom rails for repairing core supports, I always wondered why no vendors ever offered a full length bottom repair piece.
