Default Backordered order, no notification...

I ordered a header back exhaust system for my GTO last Wednesday, the salesman informed me that the order would ship the next day, and arrive on Tuesday. Wednesday (today) comes, still no exhaust system. I called PY, and they told me that the order shipped TODAY, not a week ago like I was told, because a part was on backorder. No notification regarding this from PY. Even my invoice on the site showed it was shipped last week.

Normally this would not be an issue, but it is the second time it has happened in as many orders from PY. The last order I placed, I purposely ordered items on the phone, with the salesman verifying they were all in stock (it was a large order). Then I receive part of the order, and a shipping sheet showing half of them on backorder.

It is quite annoying to me that I ordered through our host because they had it in stock, as where Summit had a 1 week backorder. Low and behold, I could have ordered it from Summit anyways, saved over $50 in price and shipping, and got it the same time.

This just makes me hesitant to place another order with PY, as much as I love you guys.

Jake

Jake, What was your order number? I'll look into this.

Jake, order number or zip code? I can't help if I don't know who you are.

Jake, I looked into this and we just plain dropped the ball. Brandon made a note on the order that confirmed stock. That is a signal for the shipping department to ship it immediately. I am only speculating but that was around the time of the Fall Charlotte show and we get pretty bogged down during shows. If Brandon had also put a note....'SHIP ASAP', it would have definitely shipped that day or the next morning OR you would have been contacted. My appologies.
