Car was sold on ebay on or around Sept 9, 2004 I cannot find the details but I have a few pictures of the car from the ebay listing.

I saved the one file as "AK" not sure if that meant Alaska or Arkansas or the seller's initials...

Did you buy it off the Copart auction? Sad to see the vandalism damage.

yes, came from copart. I don't think it was vandalized, but looks as if the car was in a restoration shop which caught fire during the rebuild. Everything under the car was new. The body was just setting on the frame, the paint new, still had masking tape around the edges for buffing.

Looks like the guy was doing a restro mod type rebuild with custom door panels, custom dash, etc. Trying to touch base with him to see if some of the custom interior, etc. may have survived.
thanks for replies....

Post rebuild process started...

If some may be interested....Going ahead with the restro mod type build the guy had started. I assume that this was a pro touring effort. It is a shame that this car will be branded with a reconstructed title. It is a very solid car with minor paint damage that occurred in the restoration shop fire.

Since the body has already been off the frame, it will be a matter of minor bodywork, then repaint, complete the interior and install another motor and tranny. Although I liked the ra 48 headed 400 and turbo 400 that was in the car, it didn't have quite the wheaties wanted. The new powerplant will be a 525 ci aluminum IA II topped with a set of Lynn McCartys RA V heads. Rowing gears is still fun, so looking at a 6sp conversion. Few pics, more to follow as the work continues.

Well, looks like body man has some health issues. It's been in his shop a long time. So I am contemplating selling this car as it sets. I have the carousel paint that goes. It has new Wil wood front brakes, aftermarket upper & lower control arms, a new moser 12 bolt rear with Wil woods, new power window motors in the doors. This car is super straight and really close to final paint. It has already been off the frame, and lizard skinned. There is no interior or glass. First 15 k in my hand gets it.
