Does anybody have any idea where one could obtain some of the small plastic clips that hold the decor molding to the top of the outside top of the door. I have yet to locate any in all my restoration sources. Does anybody have anyother idea on how to attach these moldings. Most of the clips were missing when I took the moldings off for painting. Thanks

Yankeeralph, there is set on e-bay. I'm not quite sure if the earlier cars used the same clips but I'm pretty sure they did. Check it out.

If they are like what I pulled off a 79 Camaro there are welded rivets on the door that the plastic clips slide into and they are in the channel of the molding.

Yes, I agree with Skip on the "Rivets" aka: **** that hold the plastic molding clips. Dorman - aka: MotorMite can be found at most auto supply stores. Motormite has various body molding clips available in there inventory. If you can't find them this way, try talking to a "vintage" American Auto resto shop and ask them where you can locate the clips you're looking for. Also, don't forget to look at the J.C. Whitney website and catalog (they buy out old stock parts).

Not the law - just a suggestion.
