Does anyone know of a place to buy or get the plastic chrome trim replated? The headlight bezels, tail light bezels, upper and lower grills, the chrome strip across the back of the hood. Any help is greatly appreciated. The items will make my car stand tall

Hey GPTA
There is still some NOS stuff out there for the 78-80 GP's. Should try to search it out.

I was fortunate enough when re-did my 1980 GP in 1993....I ordred all the chrome replacementtrim from GM. There was only a few things at that time was unable to get.
If I see stuff while surfing will notify ya.
I will send you a pix of mine.

Thanks pontiyak, The bad thing is that GM no longer offers any of the parts. They ended in 93. I have been on the national parts locator from GM and no luck. If you See or hear of any parts, let me know!

I dont have part #'s, but what i need is: tail light bezels, headlight bezels, lower grills in the front bumper, the strip on the back of the hood. Non-chrome items are the front and rear bumper rub strips and front and rear bumper fillers that are on top of the bumpers. Let me know what you have and what you want to let go of. Thanks Wade

Thanks for the replies about the blow-out clip and window motors. If these parts listed are NOS, I'd be interested in 549205,549480, 549481.

Thanks anyway, but I'm looking for NOS.
They'll show up...they're just laying somewhere with a GM box with tons of dust!

To: gpta and srercrcr.

This I am told a spot for plastic re-chroming.
The guy I was spoke with ...had a friend that got them to do some plastic chroming. He said the guy like it. that is all I know. No direct contact with them myself..just trying to help !

In case the NOS treasure chest is not found !

Try this for re-chroming plastic parts. www.chrometechusa.com

He is located here in Wisconsin and does chrome plating for plastic model cars and for automotive plastic trim pieces. He does excellent work.

I also need some of those parts. Mostly just the rear bumber filler (around back bumper & lic. plate) for a 78' GP. I found one on the web, but can't remember where & it was NOT cheap.Anyone have one?
