If you look at the '73 SD picture I posted, it has an ink stamped pick code.

I know 4 people with 74’s. Let’s see if their OG decals are there. Are all 1974 decals the same? One is a 74 COPO cop car , Nova. Z28 motor. Other 3 are Pontiac’s. Let’s see.
I'd like to see the Pontiac ones, as long as they're Firebird units.

Good for you..

The artwork came from a NOS pump. Go back to selling your overpriced nOS crap.

I found in other Forum picture of 1974 Camaro Z28 with the same Decal Style as the the Low Miles 1973 Super Duty from another forum and both decals look the same

For 1974 Z28 "BK" is the correct P/S code and is stamped on ink over the decal

For 1973 SD "HG" is the correct P/S code and is stamped on ink over the decal

the correct code for P/S pump its located on BOX 32 in the Build Sheet for both Models

My conclusion is probably this decal is the same for 1973 and 1974 F-body and the codes changes was made on Ink stamp

i posted the pics what i found and also my own version of the decal.

File under FWIW. Several Build sheets I have for both Chev & Pontiac from '71 to '73 show P/S pump code BK in Box 32. of course the mounting brackets and pulleys are way different with Chev engines, but not sure that there was any difference with the pumps themselves.
HOWEVER, one '73 Build Sheet I have for 2U87Y3N120xxx (built 2/28) has code HG in Box 32. Odd duck??

Addition to the above. '73 Z28 1Q87T3N172756 was back to a BK pump code even though built after (5/23) the Formula 455 I just showed.

All the 71-72-73-74 TA/Bird Buildsheets i have show HG - XD
Does not mean they all used the same exact style decal for all those years though.
I don't know anything about those decals, at all.

70 TA/Bird was HF - JK

And for the record - i Always Pried against the Reservoir with a wooden hammer handle to tighten the belt.

With a pry bar, you leverage against this tab to make belt adjustments. It is very easy to damage those pumps.

Another FWIW. Here's a scan of the '73 Z28 I referenced with a BK pump code. I agree that the vast majority '72-73 show HG. That's why I asked if this Z28 is an oddball build with a BK pump.

For 1971 to 1974 Z28 Power steering pump part number is different than for Trans Am the number is : GM 7813397 = "BK"

For 1971 to 1974 Trans Am Power steering pump part number is : GM 7811290 = "HG"

Attach another Build Sheet for 1972 Z28 with "BK" P/S Pump

An interesting thing about the camaro sheets: U76 - W/S Antenna
Evidently the windshield antenna wasn't standard on them?
(knew Firebirds had them standard, figured it was a F-body thing)

Red 73 SuperDuty 4 Speed Trans Am for sale at Trans Am Specialties .
Not sure of price, but evidently around the 150k mark.

Not concourse , but appears to be a pretty good car and #s matching drivetrain.
Could be a good opportunity if someone is looking for a 73 4 Speed car

At 150 I would expect correct master and exhaust. But that’s just me.
