Allright!!...finally home after being away for 3 months on job related assignment.
I haven't had a chance to drive either of my T/A's since December and i have the "need for speed". One thing worries me though....I have a 5 gallon container of leaded racing gas that i had planned on using before I left outta town. Never had a chance to use it so before I left, I added some fuel stabilizer to the 5 gls. of gas. Would anyone be hesitant in using the gas after sitting this long? thanks 1973 SD455 T/A 1979 S.E. Larry:
Congrats on being back home! Maybe now you'll finally have enough time to finish up the black car. I used to buy race gas by the 55 gallon drum. Usually took me 6-9 months to go through it and it always always ran fine. I'd say as long as you had the container tightly capped it'll be fine, especially since you had the foresight to add the stabilizer to it. Larry,
The main thing is to keep it sealed and out of the sun...You should have no problem at all.. Good luck at the races.......Dave..1033/stock |

Larry, the fuel is fine to use. Brands that are not blended fuels, such as VP will have a longer shelf life. Brands such as Sunoco which is little more reasonable with basically the same effect. They have a shorter shelf life and tend to break down faster. Best stored in a dark colored container out of the sun! Burn it up!!!
