Just curious what might be considered "low miles" on a 71 TA? My LB 71 has 73K, which is well below the national average of 15k per year x 48 years, LOL!
Seriously though, what is considered to be "low miles"? |

My opinion is anything with less than 50K miles and can be documented. I think there are a fair number of cars out there with between 50 & 100K miles because people thought they were going to be future collectibles and purposely kept the mileage down. There is a very small percentage of true low mileage cars, but the majority have more than 100K miles.
My 74 SD 4-spd was bought in 1985 and has about 75K miles. My red 73 SD auto has about 80K miles. My 71 T/A Lucy Blue auto has about 92K miles. My Lucy Blue 70 T/A auto has 72K miles. My 74 SD Formula has 150K miles. Those are the ones I know off the top of my head. These were all taken out of regular usage in the 80s, so mileage has accrued very slowly since then. |

Probably not what you are looking for and about as far away from you as possible but on San Francisco Craigslist is a 1970 T/A with non original motor. Also on Los Angeles C/L is a 1973 SD T/A with T=tops sadly. The owner says he also has another SD for sale but big money. Just thought I would pass it along in case you had not seen these.
