You need to explain to him that you're trying to keep up with a certain Big Dog in the MPH department. My 150 MPH junk holds up just fine

I'm running the 535 under d ports this year and hoping it will go all season. If I'm lucky that is 130 passes or so. I'll take it down for Inspection after that. We used it part of last year in some e t stuff. I'm not playing with the big guys it's only pushing 850 at 2800# on race gas. I'm a slow bracket guy lol. Get to race more that way. Keeping on topic, I would like to hear any experience s with a sniper on top of a stop. |

I ran the sniper all last year it is super tunable and easy to do so -- just fyi I don't "whomp " the throttle --I ride the brake -- but I have no doubt it would work fine as I said -- its very responsive -- let me know if you have questions

Yes it has a self lean feature to get you close -- I use my ignition as a stand alone -- its a digital 7 and as I have a fair amount of experience I am real comfortable tuning the fuel map on this thing -- but with some time anyone can do it .

Curious if you have noticed an increase in mph from the switch?

Do you have to plot your curve for when on the stop or will the TP sensor take care of that?

What happens if this is used on a motor with only 800 hp? Injectors too big? trying to learn!

Generally speaking, yes. The small pulsewidth area is where injectors become non linear, and harder to tune. Idle is where you get into trouble. Some ECU's are capable of fine tuning the small pulsewidth area if the injector data for that is known. This is why you sometimes see "staged injection". A smaller injector to drive/idle on, and bigger one to handle the horsepower. At these power levels, I'm not seeing the draw to tbi units. MPFI brings the ability to tune per cylinder, and stage injectors, handling all the areas the engine operates in better. And if you wanna go to E85 as was mentioned earlier, you can do that too, just different injectors, not a whole new, different tbi system.

you can probably fudge the HP down a bit by running reduced fuel pressure , and all the stuff for running a throttle stop is pretty easy by playing with your fuel map.
