Default Shaker door and frame feel out

A lot of new people on the forum that might not know me or what I do. This is what I do lol. One of the most Missed part on a 70-72 shaker is the Door and door frame. I’ve been contemplating doing a short repop run of these. These won’t be cheap I’d say 160.00 to 180 for the door and frame. But if this is what you need to save that 70-72 shaker it’s well worth it. This will be a very short first run of five or so. Just checking if there is any interest. The part on the top is an original the bottom is the prototype for the repop. Pretty nice I’d say.

Count me in for one time. Sounds like you need to make that a run of ten.

This project is still alive in case anyone was wondering. Ron Johnson has received one and gave me a thumbs up on proceeding. Hopefully in a few months I will have product to sell and ship.

Curious as to why the door frame doesn't quite match original?

Well Harold when it comes down to it, it ends up being about cost and being able to bring a good useable and needed product to market to repair all these shakers that were ruined back in the day. Right now I have about $85.00 of actual cash invested in raw materials for each frame and door not including any of my time. Give it a try and see what you can come up with. My advice to you is keep looking on eBay for an original, they come up every couple years or so.

Relax, Craig, we appreciate the work people put into making reproductions, but as you well know, this is a question that always comes up and a situation that usually ends up in retooling and more expenses being incurred. By the way, my shakers are functional and I'm not in the market for these parts.
