Launch Technique
Last time out I launched at 1800 RPM's or so and it spun quite a bit, but I managed a 12.04 at 115 mph. I have since added cal trac split monos and cal trac shocks. I already had the cal tracs so its all cal trac in the rear. The tires are m/h street slicks, 18psi, 69 firebird 3600 race weight, stick car, 390 outback, 6000 shift point, 455, and tremec tko trans. Someone told me go no lower than 18psi in those tires. Looking for 11's. Got alot of Ford and Chevy buddies with varying opinions. Just wanna hear what you guys have to say.
Just looking for a start point, I know I will probably only get a couple test runs in on Sunday. Any advice appreciated.

We've run the M&H Street/Strip as low as 12 psi on a 3500# Camaro. IIRC, M&H's recommendation was 12-14 psi on a 28 X 10.5.
On my car (82 Camaro, running 11.50's with a 1.59 60ft) they hooked just as good at 14 as they did at 12, and had a tad more MPH on the big end. For reference, my car ran a best of 11.58 @ 116 (7.28 @ 96 in the 1/8th) with a 1.58 60 ft. I think if you get that bad boy hooking, you'll be in the mid 11's, if you are running 12.00's spinning.
