That’s a nice thought. I’ll post pictures of it collecting dust, and everytime I load it on the trailer...

I keep telling myself I’m going to take a break for a while, but I’ve been looking around my garage already wondering what I can tear apart, and also thinking about my growing pile of driver quality Firebird parts and the 455HO that’s sitting on a stand.....

Bob, that car is really something. In what is was and is from the factory, and now the level of what you brought it back to (and beyond). It is freaky, jaw drop nice. I would have trouble driving it Seriously. Your dust comment makes me sad, being honest, sorry. It is the best for sure and hat's off is the point though.

Norwood you are correct... That is the correct dill cap.. I have an 1970 GM A body survivor with the original valve stems and those are the dill caps that are on the car.I also have a buddy that owns a tire shop in Elk grove ,ILL that's been doing tires since 1972 til present... He also told me those dill caps in your picture is correct even for my 1978 trans am,,,,

The pictures, of course, did not do the car justice. The caliber of work here can only be appreciated in person. Simply amazing.

Congratulations Bob, Darrell, Dave and all others associated with this fine piece of Detroit Iron! Rumor has it that the HO pointed very well at MCACN and might have even take home some specialty hardware. Well done. Was a great show and was good to catch up with the Pontiac contingent.

Well, Darrell and MPD knocked it out of the park....

The Black Car showed well at MCACN thanks to the contributions and support of many friends, the hard work and talent of Darrell and his team at Supercar Creations, and the help and friendship of My Pal Dave.

We ended up with a Concours Gold Award scoring 997 out of 1000 possible points. We also won the Emerald Award for the best Pontiac appearing at the show for the first time. In addition, the Black Car received the Don Keefe/Poncho Perfection Pick Award as their favorite car. Pretty cool.

Here's a few pictures...

Amazing job on the Black Car, Bob.

I gotta know: what did they take the three points off for?

Getting a score of 997 out of 1000 is truly amazing at a very well Judged show! Each car Judged was given at least a 1 hour look over with intense scrutiny.

Easily a 1000 pointer except for loop in carpet, slight scratches in a very rare piece of rear glass with electric grid. And a artistic choice on rear.

If points were given for exceptional rarity with a full list of options it would be well beyond that point level!

As Chris stated it set the HO Formula on a higher level than ever before!

A truly well deserved set of awards by a dedicated team for Pontiac gurus!
